Auger tooling is selected as a matched powder path, not as a screw alone.
The auger screw, surrounding tube and outlet are chosen together for the powder, target fill range and pack opening. Screw diameter and pitch influence displaced volume; clearances, outlet geometry and release behaviour influence charging, cut-off and free fall. Product trials confirm whether the set is appropriate.
A project may need more than one tooling set when the fill range is too broad for one configuration or when products behave materially differently.
Identify every auger, tube, outlet, seal and recipe as a controlled set so changeover and troubleshooting remain traceable.

How does the target dose range influence auger tooling?
The target range influences the volume that must be displaced per revolution and the practical number and speed of revolutions per dose. Very small and much larger fills may need different screw and tube sets so each target can be reached without an unsuitable dosing movement.
Trial the smallest and largest required fills rather than assuming a single setting covers the full commercial range.
